We do see the writing on the wall, do we not?
How can anyone watch Trump, listen to him, see who he surrounds himself with, and who he offers power to, and not take him at his word? This will be a presidency of vengeance and power grabs. One of allegiance to authoritarians and dictators around the world. It will be a presidency of the fakest news and the most clownish deference and capitulation we have yet seen. One that is profoundly dishonest, impulsive, petty, and self-interested.
It will be a presidency that destroys, not builds. One that divides, not unifies. It will make heads spin and mouths drop to see how quickly this next administration rewrites history to serve and uphold the patriarchy for which it stands. And it will not conclude tidily in four years.
