Who You Are
You’re a writer who believes in the power of words to question, mold, and shape culture. You’re always looking for the greater truth behind the headlines, and honestly, you’re tired of hearing that “everything is going to be okay.” You want to get real about the dangers we face so that you can become the kind of person we will need in a world that’s falling apart.
Who We Are
No, that doesn’t mean it’s all gloom and doom over here. What we want is honesty. A willingness to face the many crises of our world with our eyes wide open. Authoritarians gaining power, past-the-rubicon planet crisis, dehumanization tactics designed to keep us in neat camps of “us vs. them” while the powerful continue to hoard ungodly amounts of wealth, power, and influence…the list goes on.
If we don’t talk about it, it won’t just go away. I believe that the opposite of hope is not hopelessness, but clarity. There’s a reason so many are trying to ban books: there is a power behind our words.
