We’ve been through too much together, my plants and I, to watch them freeze outside.

So, three months ago, I converted my spare room to an indoor garden and brought the plants in.

My plants now enjoy the indoors so much that they’re crowding me out!

This isn’t a bad problem, but when I began the project, I had no idea what I was in for. In this story, I described converting my spare room to an indoor garden.

I had three goals

1) Save my beautiful plants

2) Save money 💰 at the greenhouse next spring

3) Create a space where I can close the door, smell the herbs and flowers, and escape the cold.

It would also be a perfect room for writing, as long as I could keep space available on my desktop for a notebook, pen, and laptop.

Unforeseen challenges

My indoor garden project, though it seems straightforward and beautiful, hasn’t been without its challenges.
