If I Do What I Love, Will the Money Really Follow?
Hmmm, that depends.
This story is in response to a prompt provided by via The DIY Diaries that asks us to write about what we love to do, without a focus on making money doing it.

I’m going to be perfectly honest and say that I find it very hard to divorce making money from what I love to do.
For a long while now (I’m talking 40+ years), I’ve been searching for ways to make money doing what I love. I’ve figured this would at least make work more enjoyable and give me the motivation to keep working because working would feel like play.
On the other hand, if I were to answer Amanda’s question outright, it would be that I love, almost HAVE to, crochet whether there’s money in it or not.
Not only do I love creating functional as well as artistic pieces, but the simple act of crocheting is like a moving meditation that calms the anxiety I’m often plagued with.
