The definition of doodling is to scribble absentmindedly.

Some avoid this art because they believe scribbling is kid stuff. However, in my line art article, I shared that scribbling is not a bad thing: in fact, it can be a beautiful thing.

Doodling is like daydreaming on paper. It’s a wonderful way to unleash your creativity onto the page.

Sometimes I’d doodle alongside the margins of my notes; other times, it would be on full-size sheets of paper. I love using black pens, but depending on what I have on hand, some of my doodles are blue, like the rose above.

The more I keep my brain’s creative side occupied with doodling, the less antsy I feel. This, in return, helps me be more focused in the long run when it comes to accomplishing organized, nitty-gritty tasks.

There are many benefits to doodling:

  • It allows for authenticity. It is an art form that is widely accessible for people to express themselves.
  • It can help you relax and unwind when feeling overwhelmed or anxious.
