Beginnings are always complicated, more so if those beginnings involve showing the world a part of you that you have always kept to yourself or only shared with very few close friends.

Fear of what others may think or say can freeze us up and stop us from engaging in new projects that could change our lives tremendously forever.

In the next lines, I am going to tell you how I pursued a new career in a niche that nobody around me understood, why I wanted to walk this path so badly, why it required a lot of bravery from me, how I found the drive within myself, how I felt after I set the whole machinery in motion, and most importantly how all of these can inspire you to pursue your dreams, no matter how bizarre or uncommon.

The niche

Everything changed for me the day I decided to talk openly about my passion for Gothic literature and horror films. It was something new that required some degree of bravery as it meant stepping into the daunting unknown of possible criticism and eyebrow raising, mainly from close friends and family members.
