Dzhankoi is a key road and rail junction for Russian supplies in Crimea. As I write it is under drone attack by Ukrainian forces.

Just as Crimea is the key to defeating Putin, so Dzankoi is the key to recovering Crimea.

Please note that I am not a military professional, but I read and research carefully and widely, and apply logic. Sources are provided.

Proximity

Using British-trained marine forces, Ukraine has established several bridgeheads across the Dnipro river along a 40 km stretch between Oleshky and Krynky.

Ukrainian heavy armour is reported to be operating on the left bank of the Dnipro. In the absence of pontoon bridges this equipment must have been carried across by barges and Forbes reports the use of amphibious vehicles on the left bank by Ukraine.

Ukraine has (/had) over 2,000 of the Soviet-era MT-LB, a versatile amphibious troop carrier.
