One of the languages of the heart is to speak with negative imagination. At times, our hearts can be heavy with condemnation, pointing us to our mistakes, failures, and lack.

In those moments, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and think that we’re beyond forgiveness. That we’ve messed up too much.

God has a word for that:

For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart and knows all things.” — 1 John 3:20

God Understands Us
When our hearts condemn us, we need to remember that God’s love and forgiveness are far greater than our feelings of guilt.

He knows everything about us — our thoughts, actions, and even the intentions behind them. Yet, He still loves us unconditionally.

“As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.” (Psalm 103:12)

Inspirational Quotes

Corrie ten Boom, a Holocaust survivor and Christian, once said, “There is no pit so deep, that God’s love is not deeper still.” No matter how deep our feelings of guilt or condemnation, God’s love reaches even deeper.
