John 20:2 (KJV)
Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.

A person ought to remember that there were multiple women who attended to the sepulcher on the morning of the resurrection. Remember, too, that they were all just as human as we are. They had heard Jesus’s pronouncements of His resurrection, but they had no idea what that would look like, any more than we know what heaven will look like. We have hints, clues, and just enough information to make some “educated guesses.” But I am positive that once we enter the heavenly realm, we will realize our guesses were only half the story.

A person must also remember that multiple events were unfolding at various times on the morning of the resurrection. The different characters would have been involved in differing events, all of which were related but not identical.

And then, remember that, as human beings, they would have all reacted differently to those events. The Bible says that Jesus first showed Himself to Mary Magdalene.
