Self-improvement programs do NOT work for saved people.

If you’ve been trying to improve yourself, you already know it doesn’t work. It might seem to make a short-term difference in your daily life, but the simple fact is this:

…… anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! 2 Corinthians 5:17(NLT)

Here’s what the bible says about self-improvement efforts.

My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So, I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20(NLT)

For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light. Ephesians 5:8

Self-improvement is not merely about having a better life. It is about having a better life by making yourself better than you are or choosing who you want to be and acting that way. Some areas of life can be helped with this approach. Some people gain riches, better relationships, or just more happiness.

In the end, however, good life or bad or even a mixture, everyone who dies without Christ is separated from God for eternity. You can’t make a dead self, better.

As a general rule:

Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. Ephesians 5:11(NET)

But I say, live by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desires of the flesh. GALATIANS 5:16(NET)

We are made to bear fruit. No fruit in the old ways of coping with daily life.

The new you is completely acceptable to God in Christ.

I do not want to heap condemnation on you. I want you to be free. I want you to be a happy Christian. Don’t take my word for anything. Talk to Dad.

Every Christian is growing at their own pace. Talk to Dad; He will know when you are ready to grow or stand firm in some area.

But, if you are caught up in a self-improvement cycle, frustrated, or unhappy, then you need to know the information in the following video. It will renew your mind, which is the biblical way to improve your life.
