The fixing up continues…

If you didn’t know, my husband and I bought a fixer upper. It was an unexpected blessing placed right in our hands. (Read about it: here.) And when I call it a fixer upper, I mean it.

Our house is unfit to live in. The previous owners were living in it, but they didn’t seem to mind the filth. Considering that on the day of our first walk through, there was animal feces and fresh pee stains everywhere.

The whole house smells like an animal shelter. Our well water has E. Coli. The toilets and showers have been in this house since ’67, and they don’t seem like they were cleaned much in the last sixty years.

We are tearing it all out and starting completely over. We want this house completely bare before it is built back.

As the walls come down, floors torn out, and the kitchen/bathrooms are being destroyed, there is something that I am already trying my best to build up even during all of the destruction.
