THERE WOULD BE PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST IF ISRAEL WASN’T THERE

Really?

This is something the Antisemites would have us believe — but does it stand the Laugh Test?

LET’S MEANDER AROUND THE AREA

A quick look at the Civil War in Yemen

A proxy war between Sunni Saudi Arabia and Shiite Iran.

Headlines in Aljazeera. (No friend of Israel).

° 23 Nov 2021: Yemen war deaths will reach 377,000 by end of the year: UN

° 23 Nov 2021: New UNDP report projects that the number of those killed as a result of Yemen’s war could reach 1.3 million by 2030.

Of course, if Israel was wiped off the map this human catastrophe would never have happened.

What about the number of shamozzles around the Horn of Africa?

At least one of the conflicting sides in each case is Muslim. No Israel, no conflict?

And just over the mountains

  • The creation of India & Pakistan from India cost uncounted millions.
  • The Pakistan-Bangladesh war of dissolution.

• Afghanistan.

And the big one — Iran-Iraq

(Possibly not as costly as India & Pakistan)

I’m open to correction but they were both at least nominal Muslim States.

Iran-Iraq War, (1980–88).

Encyclopedia Britannica (Do you trust them?) states:-

The number of casualties was enormous but equally uncertain. Estimates of total casualties range from 1,000,000 to twice that number. The number killed on both sides was perhaps 500,000, with Iran suffering the greatest losses. It is estimated that between 50,000 and 100,000 Kurds were killed by Iraqi forces during the series of campaigns code-named Anfāl (Arabic: “Spoils”) that took place in 1988.

And what about the Muslim children?

You may choose to accept or reject this online discussion from [skeptics].

During the Iran-Iraq war, did the Iranians use small children to trip land mines planted by Iraq?

Or this Washington Post article.

CHILDREN KHOMEINI’S CANNON FODDER

Suit yourself.

I trawled (not trolled) the records of the U.N. to find sanctions against Iran for the use of young boys as human mine clearers during the time of the Iran-Iraq war. . . . NO SANCTIONS AGAINST IRAN DURING THAT TIME! Please let me know if you can find any records. Sanctions about atomic weapons don’t count.

There is evidence, however, that the Islamic Republic of Iran signed the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) A/RES/44/25 44 in 1991 [about 3 years after the end of the Iran-Iraq hostilities] and ratified it in 1994. Unfortunately the only concise evidence was in Wikipedia.

The article states:-

Upon ratification, Iran made the following reservation: “If the text of the Convention is or becomes incompatible with the domestic laws and Islamic standards at any time or in any case, the Government of the Islamic Republic shall not abide by it.” Although Iran is bound by the Convention under international law, international human rights organizations and foreign governments have routinely criticized it for failing to uphold its obligations under the treaty.

It is up to you to choose to believe this information presented about the diabolical treatment of the Human Right of Iranian children by Iranian leadership. But it’s obvious they are not the Bad Dudes according to the UN.

EVEN USING CHUNKY ESTIMATIONS, THESE ARE HORRENDOUS NUMBERS OF CASUALTIES.

When the Cold War was at its warmest, estimates of human suffering in the event of all-out war used the sickening unit of measurement, megadeaths. These figures enter that venue without the aid of Atomic Weapons.

And they wouldn’t have occurred if there was no Israel! [Nudge, nudge. Wink, wink.]

But compare that to the casualties of the Arab-Israeli hostilities.

Equal proportionality of mortality on both sides demonstrates the ghoulish mindset, bereft of humanity, of those who use it as an argument. Would people like Israel better if more Israelis were killed? It seems not — but I may be wrong.

However, the logic will be used here because that seems to be what can be understood by that side of the argument.

As of Wednesday, 14 April 2021, the Arab/Israeli conflict has devoured the following number of casualties. Of course, the numbers are different today but it is reasonable to deduce that the picture would be similar.

The sources for the following Tables are:-

Wars of the World
Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Palestinian Human Rights Monitor.
The Palestinian Human Rights Monitoring Group.
B’tselem.
The Guardian.
Walter Rodgers, “Palestinians grapple with collaborators,” CNN, (September 4, 2002).
@IDF, (April 27, 2020).
“Response to the escalation in the oPt,” Situation Report №1, OCHA , (May 21–27, 2021).
Alex Safian, “Palestinians Were Killed by Hamas Rockets in May? An Estimate,” BESA , (June 27, 2021).

Table 1 shows a compilation of the casualties on both sides. Admittedly the sources are primarily Israeli (because they are the only ones discovered) so you’ll have to decide how reliable they are.

Table 1: Total Casualties, Arab-Israeli Conflict (1860–2021)

LEGEND

* — Casualty numbers were only recorded when a verifiable source was identified.
** — This number reflects total casualties by Palestinians in Israel as well as invading Arab countries Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia.
^ — The number of wounded, for both Israel and the Arabs, are estimates.
° — Number of killed reflects a combination of military and civilians.
± — Number of Arabs killed are all estimates.
# — Number of Palestinians killed by Hamas only.
## — According to the Palestinian Human Rights Monitoring Group, about 1,500 Palestinians were killed as collaborators between 1987 and September 2002.
### — According to the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), 256 Palestinians were killed, 128 were civilians, but that figure also seems to include those killed when Hamas rockets misfired and landed in Gaza. The number killed by misfires was estimated as high as 91.

Less than ¼ million over about a century. This approaches a rounding error when compared to wars NOT INVOLVING Israel over about 40 years.

Another interesting tit-bit that speaks for itself

Table 2: Palestinian-on-Palestinian Mortality 1987–2017

Intrafada = Palestinians Killed by Palestinians

‘Sources: Palestinian Human Rights Monitoring Group; B’tselem; Haaretz, (January 23, 2008), Jerusalem Post (January 4, 2009), B’tselem, The Gaurdian

Intrafada https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/statistics-on-the-palestinian-quot-intrafada-quot-1989-2009

Table 1 shows 11971 Israel-on-Muslim inflictions 1987–2017. Table 2 shows 2021 Palestinian-on- Palestinian deaths for the same period. Palestinians slew one of their own for every six attributed to Israel.

BETWEEN 1987 AND 2021 THE PALESTINIANS SLEW ONE OF THEIR OWN FOR EVERY SIX ATTRIBUTED TO ISRAEL

So there are two competitions running in parallel

• The Battle of the Narrative, being played out in the Court of Public Opinion, which the Antisemites are winning handsomely.

• The Mortality Count for wars in the Middle East, which the Antisemites are also winning handsomely.

And the simmering hostility between Shiites and Sunnis doesn’t get much of a mention on Tic-Toc

Shiites vs. Sunnis: A Region at War intra-Islamic conflict between Shiites and Sunnis, or between the Arabs and Persians in the Gulf region.

DO YOU REALLY EXPECT IT TO BE PEACEFUL IF ISRAEL WAS OUT OF THE PICTURE?

If you believe that, there is a bridge in San Francisco I could let you have for a good price.

BUT ALL THIS IS A MOOT POINT.

WHOSE LAND IS BEING FOUGHT OVER?

Firstly, are Allah and Elohim the same?

The Vatican seems to think so.

It is written in the Catechism of the Catholic Church, paragraph 841 || The Church’s relationship with the Muslims. “The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind’s judge on the last day.”330

Anyone who is Biblically sensitive knows that Allah is NOT Elohim. There are multitudes of differences between the two (you can find them on the net) but one of the most emphatic is that:-

• Allah expects you to send your son to die for him.

• Elohim has sent His Son to die for you.

Need any more be said?

Allah gets a mention in the Bible

(Now don’t shoot the messenger.)

It is written in Isaiah 24:6 || Therefore the curse (H423 — ‘alah ) has devoured the earth, And those who dwell in it are held guilty. Therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, And few men are left.

H423 — ‘alah: curse from God, from Man [1]

Is there any assurance in Allah?

Muhammad’s successor, Umar ibn al-Khattab, was still uncertain he would get into Paradise even if he had one foot already in it.

According to the Quran, Muhammad was uncertain whether Allah would save him.

This is the polar opposite to Yehovah, יהוה, The Covenant keeping God who delights in making and keeping promises.

You decide.

I hope you got that one correct.

So did Allah have the owning rights to give The Land to Israel in the Quran?

It is written in 2 Chronicles 6:5–6 || ‘Since the day that I brought My people out of the land of Egypt, I have chosen no city from any tribe of Israel in which to build a house, that My name (H8034 — šēm) might be there, nor did I choose any man to be a ruler over My people Israel. Yet I have chosen Jerusalem, that My name may be there, and I have chosen David to be over My people Israel.’

H8034 — šēm || There is only one Name for the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He states, “I AM the God you need when you need Me”. It shows the reputation, fame, glory, authority, ability, and willingness (read ‘eagerness’) of the Name to do what the Name has revealed.

• It is always the correct Name for the situation.
• It is always singular.
• It always shows His person.
• It always shows His qualities.
• It always shows His doctrine.
• It always shows His ethical and moral standards.
• It is not always the Name we would expect for that situation.

Elohim has chosen Jerusalem to place His Existence on Earth — and the kosmos (G2889 -the ungodly multitude; the whole mass of men alienated from God, and therefore hostile to the cause of Christ) is trying to usurp Him. It is His land to give to whomever He wishes and He has chosen to give it to Israel.

Just in case it slipped by you, Allah did not have the rights to give the Land to anyone.

And what do we have to look forward to now?

It is written in Joel 3:1–2 || “For behold, in those days and at that time, When I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, And bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; And I will enter into judgment with them there On account of My people, My heritage Israel, Whom they have scattered among the nations; They have also divided up My land.

There is trouble ahead for someone — big trouble.

Israel’s right to defend itself

This has nothing to do with (sic)International Law. It is written in the Book of Esther that King Ahasuerus gave the Jews authority to defend themselves — and his decrees are inviolate.

What does that book of myths got to do with it?

You may chuckle but, just as Israel has been there to dance on the grave of every Dynasty that has tried to eclipse them, the Bible has been available for the funerals for every person who has tried to eliminate it from the surface of the Earth.

There is still time! Call upon the Name of the Lord and be saved!

In conclusion

The claim that the Middle East would be peaceful if Israel wasn’t there doesn’t pass the Laugh Test.
