There’s Still Hope
Even the size of a mustard seed
There’s a Gospel chorus by Bill and Gloria Gaither that goes like this:
Something beautiful, something good,
All my confusion, He understood,
All I had to offer Him was brokenness and strife,
But He made something beautiful of my life.
There are trials, and then there are TRIALS, right? Many circumstances in life's turbulences require faith to rise above the storm clouds.
Hurricane Blasts
But, there are those that seem to blast us like a raging hurricane. We feel beaten, bruised, confused, and weary. We wonder when and if these things will ever end. Our faith is tried to the extreme limits…and then further.
We know the Scripture promises like the one spoken to the Israelites by Isaiah:
But they who hope in the LORD shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
they shall walk and not faint. — Isaiah 40:31
We still choose to hope in the LORD, but it feels like our confidence is clinging with its fingertips to the side of a cliff.
