In a world filled with trials, tribulations, and unexpected challenges, itโ€™s not uncommon to feel overwhelmed and powerless. We encounter troubles that seem insurmountable, and in these moments, we may question if thereโ€™s any way out. Itโ€™s precisely during these times that we need the reassuring truth of Godโ€™s Word.

It is true that โ€œA God-given trouble was designed to be manageable,โ€ and we find it in 1 Corinthians 10:13 which says, โ€œThere hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.โ€

This verse provides a perspective on the trials we face. It assures us that God, in His faithfulness, never allows us to be overwhelmed beyond our capacity. Instead, He provides a way of escape, making our troubles manageable. Letโ€™s delve into the scriptures and discover the profound truth of this promise.

2 Corinthians 1:3โ€“4 declares, โ€œBlessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.โ€

In our trials, we discover that God is not just the God of all comfort but also the source of strength to endure. He equips us to comfort others who face similar challenges. Our troubles, under His guidance, become instruments of compassion and empathy.

James reminds us that trials, though difficult, can produce valuable qualities in us. He said in James 1:2โ€“4: โ€œMy brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.โ€ Trials refine our faith, teach us patience, and ultimately lead to spiritual maturity. In Godโ€™s economy, troubles are tools for our growth.

When we call upon the Lord in the midst of our troubles, He hears us and delivers us. Godโ€™s closeness to the brokenhearted is a comforting reminder that He is intimately involved in our struggles, providing the strength we need. Psalm 34:17โ€“18 says, โ€œThe righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.โ€

Brethren, every trial we face is an opportunity to experience the faithfulness of our Lord. In Jesus Christ, we see the ultimate example of facing troubles with unwavering faith. His sacrifice on the cross, His victory over death, and His promise of eternal life remind us that no trouble is too great for our God.

Romans 8:37 declares, โ€œNay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.โ€

In Christ, we are not just conquerors; we are SUPER CONQUERORS. Our troubles are stepping stones to a deeper relationship with Him, and with His strength, we can navigate any storm that comes our way.

Remember that every trouble we face is an opportunity to experience Godโ€™s faithfulness and to grow in our faith. May the Lord grant us the wisdom to see His hand at work in our trials and strengthen us to endure them with grace.

Always Begin With Godโ€ฆ

Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank You for the promise in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that You will not allow us to be overwhelmed beyond our capacity. Help us to remember that every trouble we face is an opportunity to experience Your faithfulness and to grow in our faith. Lord, grant us the wisdom to see Your hand at work in our trials and the strength to endure them with grace. In Jesusโ€™ name, we pray. Amen.
