What it is to me. Let’s find our Happy!

I’ve had a miserable life as far back as I can remember.

This world can be a place of sorrow; we all know it. Getting saved was the answer everyone needed to be always happy in my mind.

For years, I thought getting saved would be like having a fairy tale ending type of life because I lived the bad part already!

Bad things will stop happening to us, and now that we are on God’s side, only good things will happen to us. That’s what I thought was supposed to happen, and I felt like God shut me out! I wonder now if I was the only one who felt like that.

My Christian mom once told me after I “got saved” — “Don’t worry, newly saved people are on a honeymoon, the happiness will pass.” Unfortunately, I believed her.

The Good News

My mom was oh so wrong. What she said felt authentic to me, but it wasn’t the reality of the matter.

Faith is not a feeling, it’s believing a fact you can’t see.

Like this fact: 2 Cor.5:17- This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

Now, my version of abundant Life is an abundance of Happy amid calm or chaos.

Genuine (faith) feelings of calm refreshing happiness amid the daily hustle and bustle or even in the middle of your falling apart world. In Christ, you can do hard times and have a smile here and there.

As Philippians 4:11–13 says; Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. 12 I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundanc, and need. 13 I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

No one had ever told me the good news about being a new creation at salvation and what that meant! All Christians are born again in the Spiri,,t but we still have these earthly bodies with all their auto-pilot workings, habits, mindsets, and thought patterns against God! Whoa! That was a big part of my misery.

Imagine a new creation trying to live using old creation instructions. The world programmed us, and since we are new creatures, we need a new program! Romans 12:1–2. (Offer your body to God and let Him renew your mind).

And the life that you now live, in this body, should be lived through faith in the Son of God and let God transform your behavior by changing the way you think.

God is patiently drawing and waiting for us to seek His input. He wants to work with His children.

We can start, little by little, as necessary, to Trust our Father. I say that because I know I did not FEEL Trust in God. I depended on my old feelings to live my new creation life.

Walking by the Spirit is allowing God to work in our bodies and unzipping new download files into our minds! I love it. *See Gal. 5:16,17

It took me a long, miserable time to allow the Holy Spirit to work on my mind. His Love is patient. I hope and pray to save some of your time for you and yours.

You can feel Happier here and now. Knowing the truth and walking in it will make you free. I often experience an abundance of Happiness and Joy! It does take time to stop experiencing the old self so much and start living the new self way. The wait is worth it!
