DropChain is proud to announce we are the runner up in the LongHash 2018 Pitch Fest in Singapore! With Consensus Singapore wrapping up, the timing of this event couldn’t have been better, and DropChain was one of fifteen startups selected to pitch at this competition. LongHash is a global incubation platform for accelerating the development and understanding of blockchain technology. They offer a comprehensive range of services to blockchain startups, including mentor network, investor outreach, blockchain technology academy, technical delivery capability as well as collaborative co-working space.
The DropChain project has gained noticeable recognition over the last few months, both in the media and at blockchain conferences throughout Asia. However, our latest achievement was especially satisfying, having key members of the blockchain industry recognizing DropChain for the work we’ve been doing in the food and alcohol traceability space.
With a judging panel consisting of leaders in the crypto space including Fenbushi Capital and #Hashed, coupled with a competitive field of promising blockchain startups from numerous industries, it was a monumental challenge from the start. However, the days of impressing investors with false promises, unattainable visions, and broken business models are long gone in the blockchain world. Industry veterans are now focused on projects with a real product, strong team, realistic vision, and a revenue model that makes sense.
Prior to the LongHash Pitch Fest, the DropChain team had already been toiling for months on our dual-token economics, decentralization strategy, and revenue model, ensuring the ecosystem we develop isn’t just all fluff. This hard work did not go unnoticed, as judges focused largely on how each project would become a truly sustainable business, and DropChain’s strategy was able to address all these challenges. It was humbling to receive industry validation and be amongst the brightest minds and strongest contributors in this space.
It is our responsibility and passion to ensure a safer and healthier world for future generations to come. By integrating traditional processes with blockchain, A.I. and the latest in anti-counterfeit labelling technology, our mission is to improve traceability and transparency in F&B supply chains, ensuring fair transactions, quality products, and strong incentives for all participants. What more, our technology can be applied to all industries who face issues of accountability, lack of viable insights and misaligned incentives.
It was an unforgettable finish to a busy week at Consensus, and we could not have achieved this without the amazing team at DropChain. At the same time, we are not resting on our laurels and understand the need to constantly absorb new ideas, adapt to new regulations, and never stop improving ourselves.
