“This Dundonian Life” To Release On June 21st

Dundee Culture has announced the release of its new podcast, “This Dundonian Life”.

The new podcast, hosted by Andrew Batchelor will release on June 21st on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Sounder and TuneIn.

“This Dundonian Life” will look at stories and life in Dundee from all angles and will be released weekly from June 21st.

The name of the podcast takes inspiration from the highly popular radio program, “This American Life” and

Second series of “Dundeecast” announced

Along with the announcement of a release date for “This Dundonian Life”, Dundee Culture also announced that a second series of “Dundeecast” is in the works and will release late July, early August.

“Dundeecast” and “This Dundonian Life” are different in the aspect where the former talks to people from Dundee while the latter talks about Dundee and life in the city.

What will the episodes be about?

The first three episodes of the podcast will focus on subjects which relate to the past, present and future of the city.

The opening episode will focus on introducing the listener to Dundee and acts as an introduction to the city to people who may not have heard about Dundee.

The second episode will focus on Williamina Fleming, an astronomer from Dundee who mapped the universe.

The third episode will focus on Eden Project and the prospects it will bring to the city when it opens its doors by 2025 at the latest.

A podcast designed for Dundee

There is not a lot of podcasts which is focused on Dundee as a city, therefore, “This Dundonian Life” will aim to be that flagship podcast which focuses on the city as a whole.
