Shay Bradley was a man who believed in the power of laughter, always teasing everyone and continued to laugh with relief even at his own funeral.

He was a veteran of the Irish forces whose specialty was jokes and jokes and had prepared a recording of himself by the time he died and was buried. Except for his children and his wife, no one else knew that this man in Dublin had one last laugh for everyone.

Bradley passed away and on the day of his funeral, everyone was gathered around his grave. Suddenly, when the bagpipes kept playing music to say goodbye, Shay’s voice was heard coming out of the hole saying: “Hello? Let me out, it’s very dark here,” and blows were also heard as if trying to open the coffin.

At first many were surprised, but when they saw the children of Shay smile they realized that their last wish was to put on the recording to cheer up such a painful occasion. His posthumous message was:

“I called to say goodbye. I know that my death makes them sad. Hello again. Hello”.

Bradley’s daughter, Andrea, posted the video of Shay’s last joke and it was so touching that it went viral on social media. It has already been shared more than 6,500 times and has hundreds of messages of condolences for the Bradley:

The last wish of my father, always jokes, You cheated them well Poppabear and we all laughed just when we needed it most! I love you forever.

Funerals are very solemn, sad and many occasions when we could not feel happy. But Grandpa Bradley makes us think that laughter should never be missing at any time and that a good joke can ease the tensest moment.

This is the video of Shay’s latest and timely joke:
