Who has not read, heard, or seen something like this as our battered consciousness tries to survive modern America on the California coast,
“Think BIGGER when you truly consider what Bitcoin is. Are you there yet? Now go BIGGER than that. How about now?”
No? Yes? Some of you know my pain right now.
“I’ll carry it for you, man!”
O.K. Bitcoin is a lesson. Naturally, but stay with me; Bitcoin is a collective lesson where actual value lives. The fun part of this definition is, that this means that value may be imbued into anything we choose to have our “value” placed. It could be marshmallows if we choose!
“Thinking of one melting in my mouth this very moment. Hmmm….” *blinks and looks around suddenly sheepish*
Where was I?
Oh yes! Now that everyone begins to see that value is how we humans prove that which is essential to us, we can start to toy with the concepts just outside our “gives a crap” bubble. What has value? Is gold inherently of value in and of itself? Well, no. But when you get a fair amount of the shiny stuff, good-looking Mabel over there, and Jessica, Betty, and Frank all start acting all funny and “touchy-feely” when they come around. You happen to be sitting on a pile of stuff like it is THE only bean bag chair in existence, then gold starts to become a bit more interesting, beyond its malleability and atomic number!
