Philadelphia: Now that the NFL Draft is over, all the teams now return to their offseason programs which are called OTA, There would be some news about one of the leaders on the Eagles defense.

On Saturday Morning, there is a report that Eagles Safety Malcolm Jenkins has missed voluntary workouts.

The keyword in the report is voluntary workouts. In the Dictionary, voluntary means

So the question is should he be at the voluntary workouts, Yes to show that he is one of the leaders on the team, on the other hand, why would you want to risk getting hurt before training camp.

Below is when the Eagles players will be taking part in the offseason workouts.

In the report it states that Jenkins could be missing these workouts over his contract, Jenkins will enter the 2019 season with 1 more year left on his 4 year $35 million deal that he signed in February 2016.

During his 5 years with the Eagles, Jenkins has started every game which is 80 games including the postseason.

This is a good point made by 4th & Jawn Reporter that we saw this happen during the 2017 season with Fletcher Cox

So this is something to keep an eye on if Jenkins were to miss any of the workouts and even training camp
