CC Hawaiian BBQ, located on East Avenue J and Challenger Way, is a Hawaiian BBQ restaurant serving up BBQ plates, hamburgers, sushi, seafood, and much much more. Every day from 11AM-9PM, the restaurant serves lunch and dinner to hungry customers. While there are other Hawaiian BBQ joints in Lancaster, there’s something special about ‘CC’ that keeps their customers coming back.

What is Hawaiian BBQ?

Hawaiian BBQ is often served as a combo on different plates. It consists of a mixture of marinated meats —chicken, beef short ribs, shrimp, etc. — and two scoops of rice, plus one scoop of macaroni salad. This plate, all laid out on top of a bed of lettuce, makes Hawaiian BBQ the perfect plate lunch.

CC Hawaiian BBQ is one of three Hawaiian BBQ joints in Lancaster. The other restaurants are Ahi Hawaiian BBQ near Costco and Jerry’s Hawaiian BBQ Shack in the Sol Plaza Boutique Mall. So what separates CC from the competition?

Location

Although this may not be such a big deal to other AV residents, CC Hawaiian BBQ is very close to Eastside High School. In fact, it’s the only Hawaiian BBQ place in the East side of Lancaster. Seniors who have an off-campus lunch pass can head over there without worrying about the distance. Or, if you’re looking for a bite to eat after school, CC isn’t too far from here.

Food

By far the most special part about CC is their amazing selection of dishes.

“I like eating at CC because their food tastes good,” says Eastside sophomore Skyylar Aldrich. “I like that they don’t cook it until I order it.”

It’s true, your food is still hot when it’s served.

CC has a wide variety of Hawaiian BBQ combos — 20 to be exact — ranging from an all chicken plate, all beef plate, seafood, or even a mix of both! An example of a combo would be their Hawaiian BBQ Mix consisting of beef, chicken, and short ribs.

They also have a small selection of seafood, such as Mahi-Mahi, crispy shrimp, coconut shrimp, and even salmon teriyaki.

“Chicken is our most popular dish,” says owner Tiffany Chen.

CC’s BBQ Chicken is juicy, tender, and never disappoints. Plus, their Chicken Katsu — crispy breaded chicken filet — is a must have!

BBQ isn’t the only thing served at CC’s. They also serve hamburgers, a variety of fresh salad, and loco moco, a burger patty served with gravy and an egg. They are also the only Hawaiian BBQ restaurant in Lancaster to serve Asian appetizers, such as gyozas, miso soup, and sesame balls. CC Hawaiian BBQ even has a small sushi bar where fresh sushi is prepared every day except Mondays. CC’s Sushis Bar features 19 sushi rolls, including their special (and spicy!) C & C Roll, Green Dragon Roll, California Tempura Roll, and more.

And if you’re a fan of sushi, then you’ll have to try CC’s fresh poke dish . You can ‘build’ your own poke bowl by choosing your flavor, sauce, and main protein —diced raw tuna or salmon.

And, as a bonus, if you’re looking for boba or bubble tea, you’ll be sure to find some here at CC!

“I would totally recommend it because there is something there for everyone,” Skyylar says.

Service

CC Hawaiian BBQ is family run and owned. Owner Tiffany Chen works the register most times and always greets her customers with a smile. She’s very friendly, something noted by many Google reviewers. She even gets to know her regulars.

CC’s warm and friendly customer service is one of the factors that keep customers coming back. CC’s isn’t just a restaurant. It feels like home.

Atmosphere

CC has a very warm and inviting atmosphere. The dining area is very open and you can even get a view of the kitchen in some seats.

The yellow walls give off a fresh and sunny vibe. The blue accents, tiki decorations, and portraits of Hawaii leave guests feeling like they’re eating on the sunny coasts of Hawaii.

CC Hawaiian BBQ is located in the East Lancaster Plaza Shopping Center, across from Superior and the 99 Cents Store. You can order by phone at (661) 942–1999.
