Black Actors Have Been Nominated for Academy Awards! Why Boycott Now?

Will Smith is a great actor and has been nominated before in his career for academy awards. Denzel Washington and Forrest Whitaker has been nominated also. Why should anyone boycott the Oscars now? There are some black actors getting ahead, and it is not because they are black. It is because they have been great in acting and have had great roles to play in great movies although they may not always win. To win an Oscar, you have to be outstanding. That means everybody loves you regardless of race. When I watch actors like Will Smith, Denzel Washington, and Forrest Whitaker, I’m not looking at the fact that they are black altogether. These guys can act, and I love watching most of their movies. Will, Denzel, and Forrest can play in almost any kind of movie and do quite well. That’s what it takes to win an Oscar, and it can be tough.
