MOMMA (Day Four)
Hello you! Thank you for checking out this article. If you have been following my blog lately, you would know that I started a 30-day poetry challenge at the beginning of the month. Today is day four and the challenge for the day is one of foreign origin.. to me, anyway.
It is called a Haiku.
A Haiku is a three-line poem of Japanese origin in which the first and last line have five (5) syllables and the second (middle) line has seven (7) syllables. It is mostly about nature.
The challenge gives my Haiku a bit more freedom though as it says, “Write a haiku. They are often about nature but yours can be about anything.”
I decided to write one dedicated to my mum so that’s where the title of this article gets it’s origin.
