Imagination…

a superpower we all are born with.

Some of us learn to nurture it. Many of us let it fade, as we grow older.

As children we used this power to find new worlds within us.

It sailed us through confusing alleys, and built bridges across rivers and oceans of the unknown.

It asked us to be kind to strangers and be cautious of the dark.

It was a bitter-sweet affair we had with imagination.

It made our skin crawl, at times, as it sneaked on us from beneath the bed or scratched our window noisily with twisted nails, on a windy day.

On other days, it sweeped us to the clouds beyond the rainbow, where nothing was just black and white and everything was sweet and full of hope.

Imagination… was the lullaby we all slept to, and the pledge we took every day to power through everything that was beyond our control.

It was our lifeline, it was our only rope of belief to climb through things we sometimes couldn’t explain to even ourselves.

It was a gift we recieved, and it is a gift we must pass on…to our children,

Imagination…

is what every child deserves, for every child can be their own Superhero!
