I was talking with someone this past week and we both agreed that marshmallows are sold in too big of bags. If you’re roasting them at a bonfire, or making s’mores, you’re not going to make it through a whole bag. Some quick math:
A standard bag of leading brand marshmallows is 10 oz., or about 283.5g. The serving size on the bag is 4 marshmallows, or 32 g. For once, the serving suggestion seems about correct; assuming you’re not making s’mores, you’re just roasting marshmallows on their own, 4 per person seems like plenty. So a serving is…
There have been some robins outside for a couple days, which just shows that I’m right and you should wait for the grackles.
Episode 6 of WandaVision released on Friday. We’re up to the ’90s, and that means obnoxious talk-to-camera kid action. *SPOILERS*
I’d like to start out by addressing the IRS: I appreciate your attempts to simplify personal tax forms. That said, taking the means of determining taxes out of the form and putting it in the form instructions on your website does not actually make filing taxes easier. Episode 4 of WandaVision took a break from the march through the history of television, so I’m afraid…
First things first, the Mandalorian Season 2 review is out now
If you’ve been a subscriber to RC, you read my quick notes about each episode. This is a review of the season overall, especially how the show featured cross-over characters.
Secondly, the next review in the pipe is of Charles Soule’s Light of the Jedi. I don’t have a ton of stuff to say about that, so expect that review to be a bit shorter than some other book reviews.
Episode 3 of WandaVision was in…
My review of Season 2 of The Mandalorian is coming, I assure you. I had meant to have it out this week, but I had some delays.
The Mandalorian may be done for the season, but if you’re a Marvel fan, you now have another reason to log in to Disney+ each Friday as WandaVision has premiered with a double-episode. As I did for The Mandalorian, I’ll be leaving my notes here the following Monday. *SPOILERS*
It’s a new year, and a new Running Commentary. Writing this every week has worked out better than I had worried it would, and even without a new Mandalorian to re-cap every week, I hope to keep the pace up.
Winter is in full swing here in Michigan. Have a photo of some snow-glazed trees:
