Seeking civic leaders for our Millennial Board of Advisors

We are in the process of recruiting civic leaders for our Millennial Board of Advisors. Please see below for details and nominating criteria.

About the Elected Leadership Incubator at Wharton (ELI)

Most students who are interested in serving their community have no idea where to start. ELI is a non-partisan incubator for elected leadership that welcomes students who want to serve their communities and equips them with the training, resources, and network to be successful as candidates and elected officials. Like startup incubators, our elected leadership incubator will help eliminate the barriers for students considering a future in elected office. Our focus is on training transformational leaders who are inclusive and inspirational as candidates and elected officials. Our community values mandate inclusion and respect for diverse backgrounds and views.

ELI is launching under the guidance and support of the McNulty Leadership Program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Since 1992, the newly-named Anne and John McNulty Leadership Program at the Wharton School has pushed the boundaries of traditional education in the fields of leadership and teamwork. Leadership development at Wharton bonds together scholarship, relationships, and experiences that link knowledge to action and provide structured opportunities for learning and growth. McNulty has a rich portfolio of existing program offerings at Wharton, including Authors@Wharton, Leadership Ventures, Leadership Fellows, Venture Fellows, Nonprofit Board Fellows, and P3: Purpose, Passion, and Principles.

About the Millennial Board of Advisors

Each member will be asked to serve as a mentor for up to two Penn students per semester, provide periodic strategic guidance and feedback on ELI’s plans, and recommend other public figures with whom ELI could engage. The anticipated time commitment will be approximately one hour per month.
