Here’s how I’ve learned to love myself

I think I first new the truth of how my mother felt about me, when I returned from staying for a week with my Uncle Bill. I think I was about 7 years old. It’s not that I hadn’t felt the coldness from her before, of course I had. But this was the first time I’d put her on the spot with a difficult question.
