Building better relationships at work — that’s our goal at Tydy.

And, the goal is driven by two fundamentals

  1. Delivering the right information at the right time
  2. Building better employee experiences within large enterprises

In this post, I am going to dig a bit deeper in to why we think delivery of the right information at the right time is a strategic differentiator for enterprises.

Deliver the right information at the right time

In today’s fast-paced world, employees have to deal with a barrage of new information on a daily basis. From customer usage numbers, sales numbers, competitive strategies, product updates, security & compliance events, process metrics and much more.

It is a stressful workplace. And the onslaught of information is not gonna end any time soon. 90% of all data has been created in the last two years! 2.5 quintillion bytes of data is created every day!

With all of this information — it becomes a challenge to ensure your employee gets the right information just when she needs it. Not a barrage of information — but only the most contextualized piece of information from the larger universe of data.

There are two ways in which contextualized information can be delivered to an employee — at the right time …

  1. Push
  2. Pull

PROGRAMMATIC DELIVERY OF INFORMATION (PUSH)

If you are a new hire joining an organization — in the first few weeks — you are pounded with information about the culture, the leadership, company, team, your role, policies and much more. Often — all of this information is sitting in a portal or in long-form documents that you are expected to comb through and understand.

A better alternative is to deliver just the information you need on the day you need it.

This is programmatic delivery of the right information of the right time.

Programmatic delivery of information is great for events like Onboarding, Offboarding, Compliance Knowledge and more.

And it’s a crucial part of building a better employee experience and a new hire experience.

INFORMATION SEARCH (PULL)

While programmatic delivery is great for set processes like the ones mentioned above — there are instances where you, as an employee, might need to find a specific piece of information.

You are looking for how to file your expenses, how many holidays you have left, case studies from a particular industry, what are the maternal leave benefits or what the wifi for the London office is.

All of the above scenarios are best served as a self-service interface — where each employee can ask for the specific information and get the answer in a matter of a second. No more support tickets and HR responses. No more hunting through documents in folders.

A bot can manage this entire process, and improve it’s success rate using AI to understand and learn from each query.

All this while freeing up resources and giving each employee the freedom to learn, understand and be more productive each and every day.

In Conclusion

With information overload becoming a reality in all jobs — the need of the hour for the CIO & CHRO is to ensure information is useful with context. When you lose the context — information is useless.

It is important to be future-ready where information is only served with context. A dump of data that an employee is expected to rummage through, or a portal with all the information in pages, or even a document repository will no longer cut it for the modern workforce.
