“My name is Barrie and I am a creative loner”

I don’t say that because it is a good thing.

It is just the way it’s been … or, maybe the way I feel comfortable, so it’s the way I’ve made it. I have my ideas … I work on them, write the words, launch the idea, communicate about it … feel good about the results.

Not very accountable though, is it?

Not particularly scrutinised.

Not very collaborative.

In the past few days, the ground has shifted.

New projects. New influences. Opening up. Testing the ideas. Embracing different perspectives. Turning down the volume on my voice; turning up the dial on other important voices. Sharing the load; multiplying the effect.

Accountable. Scrutinised. Collaborative.

Making adjustments.

Old dog. New tricks.

It’s never too late to learn.

Every Day Encouragement is a side project of feastsandfables Encouraging words, written and shared every day for 2021.
