“The Vanishing Bride”

Wedding bells echoed through New York’s morning, yet no one knew this would be a feast without its bride. As the first rays of sunlight fell on the Brooklyn Bridge, Sarah’s wedding dress hung like a ghost, swaying gently in the wind.

Jack stood at the church entrance, his phone screen flickering with disturbing messages. Sarah’s location signal jumped across Manhattan’s skyline, as if she existed simultaneously in every corner of the city. Witness testimonies lay scattered like puzzle pieces: some saw her boarding a yellow taxi, others insisted it was a black sedan.

The numbers in bank accounts danced, large sums of money surging in and out like tides. Jack’s heartbeat quickened as he began to question whether he truly knew the woman he loved so deeply.

Police officers searched through Sarah’s apartment, each fake passport they found striking Jack’s heart like a hammer. Disguise tools lay scattered across the floor, seemingly mocking his ignorance. Jack stared at his reflection in the mirror…
