The Preparation
I love meticulously planning every picnic. This time, I chose a secluded forest on the outskirts of the city. The place is quiet and deep, rarely visited — perfect for our private time together.
I spent an entire week preparing the food. The marinated beef needed just the right amount of saltiness, and the salad dressing had to be perfectly balanced between sweet and sour. I even bought a new set of picnic utensils in bright red, which would look beautiful against the green grass.
To find the ideal spot, I scouted the location a day ahead. I brought a shovel and tested the soil in several places before settling on an area with soft earth. The spot had a clear view but was well-hidden from others — absolutely perfect.
Early the next morning, I woke up and packed everything into the car. Besides food, I brought along a shovel, gloves, plastic sheets, and cleaning supplies. After the picnic, I planned to thoroughly clean the site, leaving no trace behind. After all, such a beautiful place deserved another visit.
