The Future Of Humanoid Robots

Artificial Intelligence is being used widely by all the industries, may it be the manufacturing industry or the healthcare industry. AI and the AI-powered robots are the future we are looking at. But not just robots, the robots industry will see a rise in the use of humanoid robots. The question here is, do these humanoid robots have any solid future in the industry, or is it just a high-level trick?

How is a humanoid robot different from the other robots used in the industries? Well, the humanoid robot is a robot that resembles the human body. The robots are designed for functional purposes which include human interaction, or experimental purposes. There has been a study that the number of robots will increase over the next decade, and about 25% of the human labor work will be performed by robots. This will possible because of the reduction in the manufacturing costs and improvement in the overall performance.

Many countries like the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, etc. will be leading this robotic adoption. The four main industries that will be seen taking charge of the advancements would be computer and electronic products, the electrical equipment and appliances industry, transportation equipment and the machinery. The service industry would be greatly affected by this change.

Humanoid robots have been a challenging field for scientists. It has also gained significant attention over the years. One of the major problems faced in the robotics field is the ability to produce human-like emotions in robots. There already have been attempts at producing humanoid robots, one of which is the robot Sophia, who was developed by a Hong Kong-based company called the Hanson Robotics. This humanoid robot can display more than 50 human facial expressions. Sophia uses Artificial Intelligence, visual data recognition, and facial recognition and it can also imitate a few human gestures and facial expressions. The robot uses voice recognition technology and can make a few simple conversations on the topics that are predefined.

With this, there are ambitious goals set for the future humanoid robots. The future humanoid robots are expected to serve as companions and assistants to humans in their daily lives and also as the ultimate helpers in the times of natural disasters. Here are a few ways the robots will help to transform the future in a more convenient environment.

These robots could be used in security systems. The future for robotics is bright, and there may be inventions where artificial technology could be used to detect and predict the crimes. Drone footage will be used for this, and soon one will be able to detect the crimes. This technology can help the security systems, as by detecting suspicious behaviors it will be able to take action faster. Another use of robots is in the education sector. It is hard for a single teacher to meet the learning pace of every student, and with the help of computer-based learning, the students will be able to learn easily at their own pace. It does not mean that the robots will replace the teacher, but will surely help them facilitate better learning.

Apart from this, robots can also be used in homes. Although some of them are already being used, like the vacuum cleaners, the washing machines, but the humanoid robots could serve as companions to the humans, and as the Japanese scientists say, robots will soon be a part of the families just like pets.
