3 Reasons Why Bamboo Is a Great Sustainable Material

Synthetic materials have in the last few decades been developed to create materials with beneficial characteristics. But while they have many advantages, they also have important disadvantages. For example, many of these materials such as fossil-fuel-based plastics are not biodegradable, which means they can cause long-term pollution in the environment (further reading: Why Biodegradable Plastic is Not Always Biodegradable). Also, synthetic materials can be a challenge to recycle, for example because the result is of lower quality than the original material or because recycling requires a lot of resources.
As synthetic materials are not always an environmentally friendly choice, the focus in the current efforts to use earthly resources more sustainably is moving back to natural materials.
