I regularly write about renewable energy, EVs and power in general. This is not really surprising as I am a big believer in the tech and have been studying and working in it for years.

Yet my articles, posts and comments always attract a slew of replies from people who are clearly, but inexplicably, opposed to any form of green energy generation or electric transportation.

Many of these responses are angry accusations of my ‘being part of the conspiracy’ (though I have never worked out what that ‘conspiracy’ actually is), openly question my IQ or make outrageous counter claims.

The source of those counterclaims is more often than not a long rant delivered by their mate down the pub.

For these people, anything green is a way to remove control of their lives and bury the truth of ‘better’ power production methods of coal, gas and oil. Anyone who opposes this is the enemy and has no idea what they’re talking about.

Even if they actually do.

Of course, this is true of all new technologies and inventions throughout all of history, especially ones that disrupt multiple industries.
