Zombies with Keyboards: The Cyber-bullies Among Us

Cyber-bullies are among us. They are brazen, like a zombies with keyboards—with their over-inflated egos, they hide and lurk and peck at whoever they think they can get, but they can’t get Lindsay Bottos, at least not anymore.

Lindsay’s Selfie Project, Anonymous, shines a light on the abusiveness of cyber-bullies. I think we should all take a stand and help her fight this battle. Let’s eradicate cyber-bullies, make that all bullies.

Together, let’s tell them:

You are outnumbered. This is not just your life, your internet, and your world — it’s ours, a full and diverse society of people, each with their own struggles and dreams—each of us equally deserving of happiness.

Diversity should be honored and applauded, never treated as a hindrance or detriment.

Yes, we are all entitled to our own private (often misled) opinions but to ostracize another person, publicly or even anonymously, because you don’t find them adequate according to your own “standards” is never acceptable.

You can be outspoken on topics that matter, topics such as this that are for the greater good of humanity, but never for distasteful opinions that hurt others.

Remember, if you can’t be kind, be quiet.

As a side note, it seems you can kill a zombie by starving it.
