An Honest Guide to Make Your First $1000 Online
No B.S. nor selling courses, just an honest guide.
To be honest I don’t give a single crap if people write articles such as “How to make 10 thousand dollars each day by doing nothing”. Most of them are B.S. anyway, or they’re trying to sell you a course.
I got nothing to lose, I don’t sell any courses, hell, I don’t even set this post for members only, that’s why I wrote “An Honest Guide”.
Earning money on the internet is like going through a weight loss. There are hundreds of diets but in the end, the formula has always been about calorie deficit.
Marketing this, and marketing that. Organic search this, and organic search that. In the end, making money on the internet has always been about selling something.
Let’s cut the crap, maybe you need to stop searching for “Passive income ideas” or “How to make millions from the internet” when you can’t even get your first $1000.
Start small, dream big.
So to save you some time. Here is the formula to make your first $1000 on the internet.
Create something > Pitch > Deliver > Repeat
The million-dollar question would be “What should I create?” Will it be a service? A product? That’s what you have to figure out yourself.
One year ago, I started an agency called BeSeen, we focused on designing and developing websites.
Whatever business you’re into, getting your first, second, and third clients/customers will always be the hardest, but it gets easier after that.
When it comes to pitching your business, you’ll be suck at the beginning, but that’s okay. You’ll be better over time.
My very first client paid me $125 for a month of work.
Getting your first a-ha moment where “Wow, I’m getting paid for doing something online” is a thing that you will always remember in your journey.
In order to show the clients that you’re the perfect person for the job, you’ll need to land the jobs first. Fiverr and Upwork are great places to start — to make the first connection.
Once you get your first client. Give your best shot, and deliver the best result.
After that, it’s all about word-of-mouth. If you delivered a great service they’ll refer you to their family and friends.
At BeSeen, I didn’t stop when the website is finished, I helped my clients to turn that website into a money machine. That’s why our clients love us, take a look at this review.
I earned about $3k+ from Upwork before I got the momentum to finally be able to communicate with my clients directly without any third parties.
Products and services are cheap but experiences are expensive.
I always throw a free service to my client, if they’re paying me to redesign their website, I’d give them free copywriting or SEO. It’s always about giving something that they can’t forget.
Trust me, they’ll be grateful and will refer your business to people they know.
Until now, BeSeen currently handles 21 clients across the world. We’re working with movie directors, executive coaches, doctors, lawyers, entrepreneurs, and many more.
Of those 21 clients, 70% of them have more than 1 project, and they come back to us, why? Once again, experience.
Always play the long game.
Some clients are well-connected and have great connections, while some of them are not. If you’ve ever seen a well-connected client, you could always give them discounts, or free services in order to get that promotion from them.
Why get $200, or $300 right now if you multiply that money by 10 times in the near future?
In conclusion, stop learning too much about marketing this and marketing that, stop reading articles on Medium as well, and just do it.
If you ever have questions, I’d try my best to spend my time answering them, cheers!
