How to Improve Writing Skills for Beginners: Tips from Michael Hyatt

There are no laws in writing but there are some writing tools that can be used.

Michael Hyatt, blogger and author of the best-selling book Platform: Get Noticed in a Noisy World shares tips for improving your writing skills overnight. These tips are very simple, and arguably not something new, and have even been discussed by other authors. Throughout the literature I’ve read, Ray Peter Clark, the founder of the Pointer Institute, has even written a good book called Writing Tools. According to Clark, there are no laws in writing but there are some writing tools that can be used.

Hyatt advises, “don’t care how bad (or good) your writing is today, because we can improve it overnight.” Ah, this sounds easy. How can we produce good writing overnight? That may only be done by professional writers whose days are spent writing. But, I believe by following his advice, it is not impossible that we can write a good article overnight.

Some of these tips from Micheal Hyatt are very useful for us because they help us how to ‘sew’ the pieces of information so that it becomes good writing.
