Gratitude

This month I find myself feeling especially grateful.

Rather than looking into a specific topic of wound care, I think it’s important instead to simply show gratitude: gratitude for the nurses that are working on the front lines as we combat COVID-19, gratitude for the physicians, PAs, and NPs who advocate for their patients each and every day despite all of these new obstacles, gratitude for the program directors who hold their teams together so they can continue to provide their patients with quality care, gratitude for the residents for their flexibility to work insane hours to meet the needs of their patients and departments, and gratitude to the countless others who are helping us fight through this difficult time.

There is an incredible amount of teamwork required to make the healthcare system work, and in these times of crisis the unshakable camaraderie of the field truly shines through. I am so grateful to have the opportunity work with so many talented, dedicated, and brave individuals. Its in times like these that people tend to show what they are really made of. Its inspiring to see that those in my circle are made of the good stuff.
