The Future of ENS, as Explained in Our ETHcc Talks (Videos Inside)
In addition to the exciting news at the conference that the Opera browser is supporting ENS + IPFS, three members of the ENS team gave talks explaining the current state and future of the project.
1. “Updates from ENS” by Dean Eigenmann
Dean explains a number of great improvements to ENS that have already launched or will be soon, including formal verification and DNS integration.
2. “ENS 3–6 Character Auction and Permanent Registrar Update” by Chris Remus
Chris explains the timeline and details of the upcoming release of 3–6 character domain names (currently only +7 character domains are allowed). This will be a great step forward for ENS!
3. “How to integrate ENS into your dApp” by Makoto Inoue
Makoto offers a bunch of ideas of how a developer can use ENS in their dapp to serve their users, and shows how do it (it’s not that difficult!).
Thanks to everyone who came to the talks or who is watching them now online.
And remember: if your dapp doesn’t have ENS integration, your dapp isn’t finished!
