Lead The Life You Were Born To Lead
Live up to that high ideal no matter the personal sacrifices.
For quite some time now, actually since I began working at the place of employment since July 2017, I’ve been very unhappy with the service they’ve given me. But overall with the workplaces in our society that enforce the dress code rule of only allowing associates in companies like retail and others to ONLY “black and white”; I completely don’t like.
For example, I worked at La Vie En Rose for a seasonal part time associate in 2016–2017 and even though the dress code was only “black and grey”, the environment was great, wayyy better than other places. The environment was fun, no limitations, no restrictions of any kind like most workplaces have.
When I was a coop student for two semesters at George Kennedy in high school, I had no expectations/dress code like “black and white only” while working there and getting paid in credit for my class called Cooperative Education. The environment there was the absolute greatest environment I’ve ever been in and I would be so much happier working there than in any other workplace that enforces their dress code of wearing “ONLY black and white”.
Follow your destiny, no life can be better lived than that!
Plus my health has been impacted positively in both George Kennedy & La Vie En Rose! But was and still has been impacted only negatively from other workplaces like retail stores.
I’m not happy 100% and I’ve had numerous thoughts about quitting and even leaving this job as I’m so dissatisfied and not happy with the service and how that these retail stores like the one I’m still currently working at; won’t be open to making changes with the dress code for it has risked my mental wellbeing and put my depression and anxiety to be way worse! And by that I mean feeding my depression and anxiety more than any other workplace has ever benefited my mental wellbeing and recovery!
All I’m doing by posting these posts is for since changes to be made and so that not only myself can wear whatever I want but also everyone else. These limitations are not healthy and we shouldn’t limit each other just because we are limiting ourselves or cuz our parents limited us in our childhood and past life!
