The Right Vision Is Vitally Important

You see these people: they are something that’s been inside of me and I’ve kept it all bottled up inside on top of the millions of other things all because we as a society have become so ignorant and blinded by what really matters and what people close to us are putting right in front of us.

We don’t realize that what truly matters is being there, showing up to those closest to us instead of constantly clinging to our need of being right all the time. Like Selena Gomez inspires in her song “Kill Em With Kindness” where she speaks: “always someone you’re willing to fight to be right.” And also remember another lyric: “no war and anger has ever won”.

So really what I’m saying is show up, and by showing up I mean not just show up but be mindful in the moment and listen to what each person has to say, and also ask questions to clarify until you fully understand what they are saying, by painting a picture in your mind.

Like one of the five steps with ending the stigma around mental health:

  1. Language matters
  2. Be kind
  3. Listen & ask
  4. Educate yourself
  5. Talk about it

So really think about it 🤔 and then make your choice of how you are gonna respond. Anyway, in conclusion, be mindful and be:

  • considerate
  • empathetic
  • respectful
  • rational
  • understanding
  • compassionate
  • kind

And know the importance of mental health and all that is involved in caring for one’s mental and emotional wellbeing! #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealthishealth
