LAWeekly has reported that many Chinese students are likely to attend the Anti-Trump Labor March on May 1st.There has been a strong negative reaction from immigrants throughout America toward President Donald Trump over his controversial remarks regarding immigration reform that many people have considered to be xenophobic and even racist. This year’s march is likely to top the turnout of it’ last labor march in 2006 due to President Trump’s controversial remarks during his presidential campaign.

“The impact of the election of Donald Trump on working and immigrant families in L.A. is creating a unified movement against him,” says Adan Alvarez, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy (LAANE), part of the coalition behind the Anti-Trump Labor March.

I contacted Alvarez via email and he confirmed that members of UCLA’s Association of Chinese Americans and USC’s Asian American Chinese Association will be in attendance. I also reached out to Mel Li, the President of CSUN’s Chinese Student and Scholar’s Association (CSSA); Li confirmed that members of the CSSA will be attending the Anti-Trump Labor March as well.
