Although President Trump often refers to Mexicans and Latinos alone when referring to our “immigration crisis”, Hoy Los Ángeles presented census data stating that Indian and Asian immigrants have surpassed the number of Latinos in the past three years living in the U.S.

This wave of highly skilled immigrants, the article explains, come here to work or study with student visas and consequently are more likely to stay and become legalized. This influx has also created two distinct groups of immigrants in the U.S.; the highly educated and well-off — usually Asian or Indian immigrants — and those with little to no education who work low income jobs, typically Latinos.
