The Tohono O’odahm tribe welcomed the organization Caravan Against Fear into their land in Topawa, Arizona to express their joined opposition to Trump’s proposal of building the border wall, reports Paula Diaz from Univision Noticias.

Caravan Again Fear, a grassroots mobilization who defends immigrant rights, met with the vice president of the tribe, Verlon M. José, on their way toward Texas.

In a joint meeting, José states the tribe “will not allow the construction of a humanitarian wall” because they do not believe in building barriers that limit the crossing of people or animals, whom they consider sacred.

In addition, the tribe stated they have met various times with the government to express their disapproval toward the construction of the border wall and the organization announced their plan to strike outside the office of Republican Congresswoman Martha McSally this Thursday.
