Victoria Rodriguez celebrates 100 years of life with family. She belongs to the municipality of Sensuntepeque , located in the department of Cabañas in El Salvador. When she lived in her native country, she had 13 children. In 1993, she decided to leave her Salvadoran lands the first time, while crossing the border illegally. After a while of being away from El Salvador, she had the opportunity to become a resident of the United States while living in Los Angeles.

The death of her husband who died of 60 years was the main reason why she left El Salvador. Today, Rodriguez is surrounded by her fifth generation and many grand children and great-grandchildren. Despite her age, Rodriguez remains cheerful, energized and filled with young spirit.
