Despite having a political campaign that stated neutrality on the biggest issue Jews face — the Israeli-Palestinian conflict — President Trump’s hefty contributions to Jewish groups might say otherwise.

The writer of this article suggests that there is a conflict of interest, as Trump’s daughter converted to Judaism, his son-in-law Jared Kushner is Jewish, and Trump’s grandchildren are raised as Jewish.

Trump now asserts his closeness to the Jewish community, as well as his support for Israel. However, Trump said he was neutral on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict issue at firsthand, which could suggest that he did not want to take a stance on the issue during his campaign for the fear of losing potential votes.

Although he has donated thousands of dollars to various organizations ranging from Anti-Defamation League to the Museum of Jewish Heritage, how long with this said allegiance last? Trump’s history of flip flopping between his stances on various issues does not seem promising for the latest cause he supports.
