Latvia Sends My Heart Into A Flutter
I’ve been anxious to write about the Latvian Supernova final, due to falling in love with this banger of a track from Justs a week or so ago. After what felt like the longest wait ever, my hopes and dreams finally came true and Justs will be representing Latvia in Eurovision 2016!
Overall Rating: 5/5 Heartbeats
What does it sound like? A deep slow paced dance track that you’ll hear at a strip joint. It makes me want to take off all my clothes and slow dance against a wall… Does anyone else feel that way?
Stand out moment: Those vocals, wow. His raspy voice cuts right through and elevates this dance track to atmospheric levels. I’ve been listening to the studio version for a week now and his final performance is just as amazing if not better. The boys got talent and I’m super excited by it.
Though I am keen to see how they bring this song and performance to life in Stockholm. Will we see more crazy projections and flashing lights? I hope so because the competition are bringing their A-Game — especially the host nation (*Cough* Wiktoria)
Fun fact: The song was written and composed by Latvia’s 2015 Eurovision entry; Aminata Savadogo. She was a stand out performer last year with a haunting and deep beat/bass ballad called Love Injected.
How will it go in Eurovision? Top 10 for sure. Perhaps top 5 if the Europe knows any better.
