Malta Changes How You Love With Chameleon

A few weeks ago Malta held back on a siesta and decided to pull their finger out and give us a decent Eurovision song. Meet Ira Losco and her dark love song called Chameleon.Malta Changes How You Love With Chameleon.
Overall Rating: 4/5 old world lizards
What does it sound like? Something SIA would of written and produced in 5 minutes. It starts off with a moody Instagram filter feel to it with a loud start and softly spoken lyrics. Then BOOM! Chorus! Second verse, violins and a quick whimsical rhythm and bass that just captures you.
Stand out moment: That first chorus really kicks it to you in the face. Was your face ready? Mine wasn’t and it’s wanting another go.
I’m kinda excited for this as it’s very modern pop which means it will be listenable for a while after Eurovision. But it isn’t all roses, I don’t like her outfit, she needs a wind machine (If she had one, turn it on high for goodness sake!) and it lacked some sort of pyrotechnic wizardry in the background.
Is it better than this Maltese gem from 2005? No, but that was such a different time where I actually thought Malta was going to win something. Look at her stage presence and angelic voice… Fuck now that’s classic Eurovision *Waves Maltese Flag with a tear rolling down cheek*
Do you think Ira Losco could give us some unconventional Kurt Calleja — This Is The Night dancing? No, but I bet she could hit that high note near the end of the song. Game on Kurt!
