When I heard that Sergey Lazarev was going to represent Russia in Eurovision I knew he’d come out with a great track, but by golly gosh I wasn’t expecting this!

What we have below is a music video (I would normally review their performance, but I doubt a live rendition will occur before Eurovision) full of 3D projections, costume changes, fire breathing back up dancers and toplessness that was shot in one go (With minimal editing of course). Wow!

Anywho, here is the the song and video clip:

Overall Rating: 5/5 Projection screens

What does it sound like? A pop banger that is instantly recognizable as a Sergey Lazarev song. Expect a big build at the start and for it to suddenly change into a throbbing beat that is infectious as all hell.

Stand out moment: So many to mention, so here is a list:

  • Sergey being topless and pretending to be in a bed (One day I’ll be joining him in that bedroom)
  • When the song kicks in at 0:42 — Brilliant
  • When the chorus starts and you get this amazing lyric: “Thunder and lightning. It’s getting exciting”
  • Miss Russia 2015 trying to look stunning with a wind machine blowing in her face
  • The costume change from black to a white t-shirt and jacket. Swoon!
  • When the backup dancers appear and then suddenly the backdrop falls!
  • THUNDER AND LIGHTNING!!!!!
  • Then suddenly the flames and fire breathing back up dancers.

BTW his voice makes me melt near the end of the song. Gosh he’s just drool worthy #SergeyBeMine

Fun fact: He looks like this:

How will it go in Eurovision? I think he’ll do well and should place Russia within the top 3. With nearly 2 million views on YouTube in under 3 days, he’s well on his way to become a Eurovision champion.

What do you think of Sergey Lazerav — You Are The Only One? Do you think Mans started a Eurovision tech war? Leave a comment and subscribe for more Eurovision updates.

PS: This song is like a male version of Helena Paparizou — My Number One, but is sooooo different that it’s not. Catch what I’m throwing out here?
