Event technology continues to evolve every day and the corporate event industry evolves with it.

How engagement is measured has changed and expectations from clients and audiences have evolved too!

In this post, I list down 5 ideas where tech has played a part in simplifying measurement and also has been a fun element to add in terms of employee experience.

  1. Paperless Registration using facial recognition.

Paperless registration is exactly what it sounds like. Audiences no longer need to cue up in order to collect their lanyards and badges and announce their arrival at the event.

That happens through a pre-registered system where the users details and Photograph are already collected. The user only needs to check in at the kiosk where their face is scanned and they enter the event.

2.Automated photo distribution

Using the same image that the audiences had uploaded during pre-registration, we can actually have their photos from the event directly whatsapped and emailed to them using a facial recognition software.

This helps eliminate the manual process of handing over the photos to our clients physically and then them having to distribute photos to each individual audience member. This works best for in-house company events.

3. Delay screens at each table

For presentation heavy events, we have implemented having tabs placed at each table that users can refer to as a screen where the presentation from the main screen is displayed.

This eliminates the process of having delay screens placed at regular intervals and clients are able to give audiences a first had experience of the presentation.

4.RFID based tech to monitor engagement

In order to monitor engagement for specific installations and also gauge popularity, RFID censors can be used one the lanyards or on the badges which help monitor which areas within your event are most popular and where most of your crowd is spending their time.

This is useful for exhibitions or large format events, we have tried it once for a corporate event too.

I had my doubts as to whether I should add this to the list, but decided to do so as we have done it once before.

5. Censor based tech for interactive displays.

No I am not talking about touchscreen monitors. I am talking about physical walls that we place censors in to help people engage and access information about the company.

Users have the liberty to pick and choose what content they would like to see and this gives us the liberty to use print media to give users an indication of what they will see when they tap that hotspot and depending on what they choose, that content gets displayed on the screen.

This has a couple of advantages, the screen itself can be used to run your corporate video on loop while the users browse and only when a user taps on an option does the content on the screen change.

Hence, you are not wasting a potential display just showcasing content which users would glance through just on loop.

Given above are a few examples, we can go crazy with tech. These have been listed down because they are small subtle things that one can in order to make their event stand out from others and stuff we at TTM have done before.

Besides these, concepts in gamification and mainstream event tech is obviously a big thumbs up on our part.
